We are a group of individuals from varied backgrounds who are hard at work for the Garland area to create a MakerSpace.
Our Mission
Connect people to new ideas and possibilities through the act of making and collaborating together.
A MakerSpace brings out the best in the community by allowing people of varied backgrounds and skills to create in an environment that is not readily available. A MakerSpace provided the tools and the space to allow people to learn new skills and crafts from woodworking all the way to robotics. We know that people have an internal yearning to create but may be held back by cost or space for the equipment to do so. A MakerSpace solves those problems.
Currently the Garland Area MakerSpace is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit and is working toward fund raising and establishing a space where these possibilities can be fulfilled. In the meantime, we occasionally hold classes, talks and clinics on all sorts of MakerSpace oriented subjects and we welcome the public to join and and help us make this MakerSpace a reality.
